hmm..yeah so...im updating
well it guess its been a long time since ive written in this thing, but as you know things change. this weekend was long...almost too long cause i had to swim in three swim meets. :/ (lol, me...) anyways i got to be with lauren all week which was totally awesome! i really wish that i would be able to see her more than i do, its kinda hard seeing as how we only see each other at swim events, but i have the best time when i do see her. i started to teach her how to drive stick shift today. lol, it was crazy ;) anyways i have to go coach soon, so ill probably update more later.

Dear Ms.Baughman,
I would like to express me dearest appologies to you for wrongfully writing about my addiction to video games, movies, and that girl at swim rather than doing my homework in which i have to explain why the blue spatula is an extended metaphor for life. In fact, I feel compelled to tell you that in the near future i plan on turning my journal to friends only. Perhaps if you get a Eljay i may consider adding you to my friends list, then we can have giant eljay wars about why the blue spatula is an extended metaphor.
your student, Andrew Melim
P.S-Can i start posting my HW assignments on here?

halo 2

I walk out to my moms car, she drove me today. and lo and behold she has halo2 two on the front seat. Apparently she just walked right into a store and bought it, no lists, no lines, no nothing.
so i recieve the lecture as is the usual with new games on time management, i shrug it off as i usually do and begin to get my grubby hands on my new treasure. Ohhh the excitement. how i have been waiting for you my child. years of anticipation and you are finally mine.
i begin to open the game with a vigor that had not previously been imagined. my years of skill allow me to remove the plastic shielding which entraps the game with ease. with the skill only a true gamer posses, i remove the bright orange "do not sell before 11/9/04" sticker without tearing it. i place it on the plastic wrap so not to complicate the continuing removal process. As i remove the last seal a glimpse of light, which was so small if anyone was to talk louder than a wisper, it would vanish. this frail delicate light was indeed the hope of years of anticipation. i should, no, i must protect it at all costs.yes...i thought, this is it.
the ride home was a troublesome one for me, the shakes had taken over me and by the third read through of the manual i was ready to take on the covanent. as we pulled into the driveway i had already stepped halfway out the car door before we had even stopped. i quickly ran to the basement to fire up the ol' xbox. yes the xbox, my platform of dreams, a cradle for all which is good and right in the world. this small box has endured it all, dance parties, battles with trolls, bombing cities, playing little mini games on stupid girly games, and of course, the battle for halo.
it seems so long since ive actually fought along my trustly, black sidekick, johnson. his humor used to make me laugh throughout the night while i was on my caffine high so i could beat "the library" or "the control room". how i mourned for his death when the ring was blown up. yes, i remember him well.
"wort, wort, wort", a sound which will forever scar my mind. i remember hearing your battle cry oh lonely elite. the pleasure i recieved from your placing a plasma grenade on your lonesome head and watching you dodge helplessly as if it was going to fall off. the crack of the explosive would send chills up my neck. it felt good, almost too good.
the box is opened and i am greeted with a plethora of cards about xbox live. i throw them across the room and prepare for the ritual. devirginizing my disc. i push in the center so as not to break it, yet with enough pressure to deslodge it from its case. the back gleams with a purity that only new games posses. into the xbox it goes.
the xbox begins its now all too familiar wizz and off i go to get a few cokes and bags of chips. my fortress of solitude is now complete. i grab my controller and beging to shake. this is it i thought.
im greeted by the all too familiar chorus of halo.
off i go...

ok, election shit
im sick of people who are for a candidate just because they hate the other one. They dont care which policies each one has, or their ideas. All they care is that they hate the other person. Listen, there are going to be people in life who you dont like, and they are going to be your bosses. What are you going to do, quit your job cause you dont like your boss? no. deal with it and stop whinning about it. If you are of legal age to vote, then vote for which candidate you like based on their platforms, not because they suck at public speaking, or the fact that they are stiff bastards who have no personallity at all. If your not legal age, STOP FUCKING TALKING ALL THIS SHIT! Honestly, we dont fucking care because you cant vote. Instead of saying "Bush should fucking kill himself" or "Kerry and Edwards are so full of shit they need two johns", start listening to EACH candidate, dont bash the other, and certainly DONT LISTEN TO YOUR PARENTS OR FRIENDS OPINIONS. Make your OWN opinion and make positive points about each one. Then you can make cons of each persons PLATFORM! Then make a decision based on strictly policy, not personallity. THEN, after you do that, you can make your opinions about their personalities, but make them positive.
well thats my two cents on democracy.
if you have anything bad to say about it, whatever
